Jerry Burchard Hutchinson – 65
Of Valdosta, GA went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He was born on August 25, 1949 in Valdosta, GA to John A. and Ludine Carter Hutchinson. The Lord gave him the strength and courage to conquer cancer but later developed pneumonia. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 21 years and retired from SMNA after 23 years in 2012.
He was a wonderful and devoted husband, father, Papa, brother, friend and most of all a devoted Christian. He loved his family, church family and the Lord. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and most of all, his wife, Phyllis "Honey Bear" of over 40 years. He was the love of her life as she was his – Forever Soulmates.
He is also survived by his daughters, MeganEric Smith and ReneeBuddyWebb and a son, BeauAlex Hutchinson. Grandchildren, Serene and Trae Hutchinson, Whitney and Eric Smith and Harlee Webb, his brother, J.A. Hutchinson of Sache, TX and a very special brother-in-law, Gary Ethridge whom he called his brother also, several nieces, nephews and cousins and more friends than you can count also a special little dog, Sassie.
A private family memorial service is planned. Pastor Mickey Wisehart and Pastor Gene Wisehart will affiliate the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mayo Clinic Oncology Department, 4500 San Pablo Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32224 or Faith Baptist Church, 2700 N. Forrest St, Valdosta, GA 31602.
