Jesse Francis Parker – 66
Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Lowndes County on March 3, 1943 to the late Jesse J. & Lessie Lee Farmer Parker. Mr. Parker was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was employed at Valdosta State University for 29 years as a plumber. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandsons.
Survivors include:Wife, Jeanette Parker, Valdosta, GA, Son & Daughter-in-law, Jesse & Tammy Parker, Hahira, GA, Grandsons, Clint Parker, Clay Parker, Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Lucy & Paul Hampton, Valdosta, GA, Voleta Spells, Valdosta, GA, Marie & James Plair, Ray City, GA, A number of nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 14, 2009 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, March 13, 2009 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Bethany Hospice, 2517 Bemiss Road, Suite D, Valdosta, GA. 31602.
