Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Thursday November 19, 2020 in the Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 24, 1928 in Jasper, Florida to the late Lilly and Talley Bohannon. Jessie worked with Plantowski Furniture as an office manager for many years. She enjoyed puzzle books, reading, Wheel of Fortune, and sharing her Faith. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie James Cherry and William “Bill” Hubbard; Children: William Benjamin Cherry, Faye Newton, Tim Cherry, Beverly Buie; Siblings: Nolan Bohannan, J.W. Bohannan, Oscar Bohannan, Ernest Bohannan, Marvin Bohannan, Preston Bohannan, Ellen Smith, Eula Mae Touchton, Eva Craig, Frances Huffman.
Survivors include her Son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Donna Cherry of Dasher, GA; Grandchildren: Trena Hugle (Shane), Kim Scott (Cory), Kevin Touchton (Leah), Brian Touchton (Stacy), Chad Hall, Hannibal Buie (Alisha), Jessica Buie, Jeremy Casey, Heather Davis (Clay); Great Grandchildren: Shane Scott, Cody Blake, Ashton Hugle, Trace Touchton, Kinley Touchton, Brice Touchton, Breanne Touchton, Cade Touchton, Noah Hall, Christian Hall, Caleb Hall, Jaxon Buie, Pearson Buie, ABCDE Gonzales; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services for Jessie will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday November 22, 2020 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. The family will see friends one hour to services. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Langdale Hospice House, 2263 Pineview Dr, Valdosta, GA 31602. The Cherry family is being served by the staff at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
