Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Fellowship Home after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 29, 1942 in Naylor, GA to the late Jesse Mose and Vera Mae (Parker) Metts. Jessie served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the American Legion Post 13 and was a member of Woodman Lodge 6018. He follows his father, Mose and brother, Eston “Shorty” Metts, in death.
Survivors include his Mother, Vera Mae Metts of Valdosta, GA; Brother, Steven Allen Metts (Dona) of Lakeland, GA; Son, Richard Lee Metts of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren, Melissa Metts Ratliff of Valdosta, GA; Lance Metts of Valdosta, GA.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 A.M. in Green Lawn Cemetery in Lakeland, GA. No formal visitation will be held.
