Of Valdosta, GA passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family members. He was born on February 4, 1934 in Axson, GA to the late James E. and Jessie (Cook) Gilliard. Along with his parents, he is proceeded in death by his wife, Rachel (Crews) Gilliard, sister, Gladine Elkins, 3 brothers, James A. Gilliard, Ernest Gilliard and Billy Gilliard.
Survivors include his 3 Daughters and Son-in-law: Patricia J. Wynn of Valdosta, GA, April L. Shaw of Mt. Dora, FL Toni D. Turner (Richard) of Baxley, GA; 3 Sons and Daughter-in-law, Steven C. Gilliard (Robin D.) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Terry L. Gilliard of Mt. Dora, FL, Troy A. Gilliard of Mt. Dora, FL; 12 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 4 Sisters, Joann (Carl) Welton of Hahira, GA, Betty Campbell of Blackshear, GA, Sue Tatum of Blackshear, GA, Bobbie Jean Williams of Millwood, GA; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, October 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
