Jewel Mae Sutton 88
Of Ray City passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on November 14, 1930 in Pine Hill, AL to the late Caleb and Mary Boothe Criswell. Jewel was a hard-working woman her whole life, when she was younger, she would spend countless hours at her job as a machine operator or while at home she would be spending time in her garden with her family preparing the fresh vegetables for canning. She was a member of First Baptist church of Ray City. Mrs. Sutton is preceded in death by her first husband Benjamin McCool; late husband, William Sutton; Sister, Tina; Brothers, Roy, Jack, Bill and Walter; Daughters, Barbara Harrell, Sonya Buckley and Laquita Yeomans; Grandaughter, Cynthia Belcastro.
Survivors include Brother & Sister-in-Law, Jerry & Patricia Criswell of Gordo, AL., Sister-in-Law, Diane Criswell of Reform, AL., Grandsons, Teddy (Tory) Prescott of Ray City, GA; Charles and Nathan Yeomans of Valdosta, GA, Great Grandchildren; Brook, Alex, Sonya, Benjamin, and Madison. Great,great grandson Gunner. Numerous Nieces, Nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 26, 2019 in the Lakeland chapel of Music Funeral services with burial to follow in Beaver Dam cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
