Jewell Tomlinson Merritt

Jewell Tomlinson Merritt, 64, of Adel, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021 in Adel, Georgia. Jewell was born September 24, 1957 in Homerville, Georgia to the late Lizzie Ruth (Jewell) Tomlinson and Earnest Aaron Tomlinson, Sr. Jewell was retired from the Lanier County Board of Education where she taught for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dobby Tomlinson.
Survivors include her loving husband of forty-five years, Harry Lee Merritt of Adel, Georgia; a daughter, Holley Lee Smith (Hank) of Adel, Georgia; grandchildren: Krista Scruggs, Merritt Smith, Chase Smith; great-grandchildren: Ky Scruggs, Kingstyn Scruggs and Corbynn Scruggs. Special friends: Peggy Harrison, Jessica Keeney and Fylthe Cousins. Numerous cousins and extended family members.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 o’clock AM, Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Music Funeral Services, Lakeland Chapel.
