She was a member of Ray City United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Remer Wood and son, Johnnie Wayne Wood.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 24, 2004 in Ray City United Methodist Church with burial following in Beaver Dam Cemetery.
