Jimmy Daugherty – 85
Of Barney passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 in South Georgia Medical Center. Jimmy was born on May 6, 1936 in Hahira, GA to the late Jack and Ollie (Stubbs) Daugherty. He served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated Jimmy Daugherty Custom Homes which included building homes and developing land for subdivisions. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Hahira, where he led music for over 30 years. Mr. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Felton Daugherty (Ginger) and Donald Daugherty.
Survivors Include his Wife of 63 years, Annette Daugherty, Barney, GA; Sons, Clay Daugherty, Barney, GA and Blake Daugherty, Barney, GA; Daughter and Son-in-law, Beth Poholek (Chris), Atlanta, GA; Grandchildren: Ryan Poholek (Victoria Lee) and Jacob Poholek; Brothers and Sister-in-law, Mike Daugherty (Marlene), Hahira, GA and Steve Daugherty (Sandra), Valdosta, GA; Sister-in-law, Frankye Daugherty, Valdosta, GA and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and extended family members.
A graveside memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Fellowship cemetery in Hahira, Georgia.
