Jimmy Randall Lane, age 81, of Ray City, Georgia passed away on May 27, 2026, at his home in Ray City. He was born on March 10, 1945, in Valdosta, Georgia, to our loving parents, James Lowell Lane and Lily Ada Dickerson Lane. He was the third child born, the second of seven sons, and one of twelve children. Jimmy proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Jimmy had a deep love for music. He was a talented musician, songwriter, and singer who recorded music in Nashville, Tennessee, with his family group, The Lane Family. He wrote the song “Mama's Twelve Roses” for our mother, with the twelve roses representing her twelve children. He is survived by his daughter, Sharmon; his sons, Jeff and Keith; and his three grandsons, Michael, Will, and Aaron.
