Jimmy Wallace Moore – of Valdosta died peacefully on August 10, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 7, 1938 in Echols, GA to the late Roy and Muriel (Allen) Moore. A military veteran, he served 8 years in the Air Force. After his service, he worked and retired from PCA here in Valdosta, GA in 1994. He attended Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was a member of the cemetery committee. In need of something to keep him busy, he and his wife started JEM’S Mayhaws. They were known all over for their trees, juice, and jelly. He was always busy outside perfecting his beloved mayhaws. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Emma Moore; Brother, Billy Moore; Sister, Linda Moore Woods; Daughter-in-law, Beth Moore.
He is survived by his children: Randy Moore, Gary Moore, Vicky Stubbs (Alex), Gayle Griffin and Becky Griffin Carroll; Grandchildren: Joshua Barrett, Jennifer Stein (John), Travis Moore, Amber Nunn & Stephanie Flaugher all of Valdosta, GA and Shannon Moore (Rancho) of Warner Robins, GA; Suzanne Kiser (Scottie), Sour Lake, TX; Krystal Carroll, Nederland, TX; Ryan Vazquez, Tampa, Florida and 21 dearly loved Great-Grand Children and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 13, 2018 in the Cat Creek Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Moore will be placed in the church 1 hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the funeral home.
