Jo Ann Boyd Mata

Jo Ann Boyd Mata, 48 of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away, Friday, December 24, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family. Jo was born on December 28, 1972 in Lakeland, Georgia to the late Martha Jean Kelly Boyd and Laverne Toye Boyd. She was a caregiver for the elderly. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Ronnie Lamar Boyd.
Survivors include her significant other, Carlos Moreno of Lakeland, Georgia; two sons, Tyler Benson of Lakeland, Georgia and Joshua Benson of Wrightsville, Georgia; seven grandchildren: Kayson Benson, Wyatt Benson, Luis Carlos, Danae, Romina, Ailyn and Arlette; two sisters, Brenda B. Newsome (Buddy) of Lakeland, Georgia, Wanda B. Singer (Frankie Steedley) of Stockton, Georgia; one brother, James Alan of Florida; a special niece, Kristina Singer of Stockton, Georgia, a special friend, Dana Harrell of Alapaha, Georgia and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 o’clock PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Music Funeral Services, Lakeland chapel.
