Joanna Berger Cornelius – 94

Of Bradenton, Florida passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at Braden River Rehab. She was born on March 5, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Leslie A. Berger and Mildred (Hines) Berger. She worked as a Mortgage Specialist in banking for many years.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kenneth Cornelius.

She is survived by her son, Harry Kenneth “Ken” Cornelius (Carol) of Florida; her daughter, Karla Hale (Ted) of Florida; grandchildren: Amanda Legorete, Wendy Legorete, Kasey Hale and Sean Hale; brother, Henry Berger; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at Ray City United Methodist Church in Ray City, Georgia with burial to follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery, Ray City, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday evening, October 26, 2026 at Music Funeral Services of Lakeland.
