Jody Eric Smith

Jody Eric Smith – 42 Of Valdosta, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was Born on November 3, 1978 in Cairo, GA to Danny Smith and Linda (Barfield) Smith. Jody worked at Wayne’s Transmissions as a mechanic and was really a jack of all trades. He was known as the “Car Audio Genius”. Jody loved music, people and fast cars but his first love was his family. Jody had a great sense of humor. He is preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his Daughter, Savannah Smith and her husband Cody Ames of Valdosta; Mother, Linda (Smith) Griffin and her husband William of Valdosta; Wife, Hollie Lynne of Lake Park; Brother, Jeff Smith and his wife, Emily of Lakeland, GA; Nephews and Nieces, Danny Colt Smith and his wife Alyson of Lake Park, Kimberly Burke of Valdosta, Eric Anderson of Valdosta, Private 1st Class-Robert Nelson and his wife Caitlyn of San Antonio, TX and Marvalene Nelson of Lakeland, and Scott Smith
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Lowndes County, GA.
