Joe Mack Giddens – 62

Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Shands Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1951 in Lakeland, GA to Madison Chandler, Jr. and Mary Alice Studstill Giddens. He began his plumbing career with Valdosta Plumbing over 40 years ago. In 1975, he started Giddens Plumbing and in 1980 he teamed up with friend and business partner, Scott Metts to form G & M Plumbing. Joe Mack had a passion for the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or hanging out with family and friends. He was a member of Buckhead Hunting Club in Quitman, GA. He treasured family, friends and always lived life to the fullest. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by Grandparents, J. F. and Lizzie Studstill and Grandparents, Madison Chandler, Sr. & Nell Giddens.

His survivors include: Wife of 28 years, Vicki Giddens of Valdosta, GA; 2 Daughters & Son-in-Law, Windy "Sissy" Giddens of Valdosta, GA; Rebecca Giddens Townson Ryan of Marietta, GA; 2 Sons, Jason Giddens of Valdosta, GA, Justin Giddens of Valdosta, GA; Grandson, Paris Giddens of Valdosta, GA; Sister & Brother-in-Law, Gail & John Fischbach of Naylor, GA;
Mother-in-Law, Christine "Gram" Stewart of Valdosta, GA; Aunts & Uncles, Ann Johnson of Waycross, GA, June & Gilbert Boyette of Tifton, GA, James Raymond Studstill of Valdosta, GA; Sisters-in-Law & Brothers-in-Law, Ellen & Tim Golden of Valdosta, GA, Donna & Johnny Dalton of Valdosta, GA, Francis Stewart of Melborne, FL and a number of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, many close friends and "Running Buddies".

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Following visitation he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
