Of Valdosta passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014 at his residence. He was born on June 9, 1954 on Valdosta to the late James Richard, Jr. and Betty Sue Grant Martin. He was a member of Park Avenue Methodist Church. He was raised in the family business, Sorrells & Martin Appliance Store. He was a very tender and kind hearted person. He loved his boys, family, friends, nature and all creatures. He was a student of history and philosophy. He was currently employed at Langdale Lumber.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 15, 2014 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
