Dr. John H. Bud Night Eagle Curtis 72
Of Valdosta passed away Monday July 20, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Peoria, IL on June 28, 1937 to Dorothy Boman Curtis and the late Orville R. Curtis. Dr. Curtis retired from Valdosta State University where he served as a professor in the Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice department and also was a retired United Methodist Minister. He was a member of the Cherokee Community, Epiphany Prison Ministry, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, and a member of several other professional organizations. He was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Ruth Curtis.
He is survived by his, daughter, Nancy Elizabeth Curtis, brothers, Ronald Eugene Curtis, James Edward Curtis, Jody Curtis Ward, Several nieces and nephews
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2009 in the Christ Episcopal Church.
