John Andrew Crane Sr.

John Andrew Crane Sr, at age 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 11th, 2021. Born May 15, 1947 in Rainelle, WV, son of Granville and Maxine (Walker) Crane.

John grew up in Washington DC, served in the US Army for 2 years, and later moved to Texas where he met Margie and was married to her for 38 years. They later moved to Knoxville, TN and later Myrtle Beach, SC where the family currently lives. John worked the majority of his life as a Parts Manager for Whirlpool.

Survivors include his wife, Margie (Tomlinson) Crane; sons, John Crane II, Jason Crane, and Matthew Crane; daughters, Natalie Crane and Michelle Crane; brothers, Gene Crane; sisters, Yvonita Pyetzki, Bess King, Darla Lizotte; and grandchildren, Autumn Crane, Triston Ford, Arianna Crane, Olivia Crane, and Shiloh Crane.

He was preceded in death by Granville (Father) and Maxine (Mother) Crane; brothers, Mick Walker, Gary (Bud) Crane, Kenna Crane; and a daughter, Lisa Crane.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday May 15th, 2021 at Grand Strand Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach, SC with Pastor Freddie Young and John’s son, Matthew presiding over the service. The family will receive friends and family for a viewing one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the church.
A graveside service will be held at Cat Creek Cemetery, 4919 Cat Creek Road, Valdosta, Georgia 31605 on Monday, May 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Music Funeral Services, 3831 North Valdosta Road, Valdosta, Georgia 31602 will be handling the graveside service for the Crane Family.
