Of Valdosta passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 in South Georgia Medical Center. He was born April 23, 1941 in Berrien County, Georgia to the late Dave & Lula Stones Dales. He was a retired farmer and in his latter years he worked in lawn service, which he mowed and kept up several cemeteries around the area. He was a member of Bemiss Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include: Wife, Virginia Ray Dales, Valdosta, Ga., 3 Daughters & Sons-in-law; Marynell & Gregg Oliphant, Linda & Mike Paluszewski and Diane & Dewayne Ray all of Ray City, Ga., 2 Sons & Daughters-in-law; Johnny & Kimberly Dales, Ray City, Ga., Dewayne & Selina Dales, Tifton, Ga., 11 Grandchildren, Sister, Doris Gray, Alapaha, Ga. and a number of Nieces & Nephews
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with the Dr. Danny Edwards and Bro. James Cagle officiating. Burial followed the services in the Beaver Dam Cemetery in Ray City.
