John David Stone

John David Stone, 49, of Naylor, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at his home.

Born in Homerville, Georgia, and raised in Stockton, John was a defined by his relentless ambition, sharp intelligence, and endless warmth. While he worked as a dedicated Systems Engineer for MCI, he was always looking at new opportunities. A natural entrepreneur at heart, John was constantly full of big ideas and strategies to build success. John truly never met a stranger. His friendly nature, quick mind, and determination left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered, and his drive to succeed was matched only by his generous spirit.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Michelle Stone; children, Lindsay Wildes (Drake), John Michael Stone, and Layla Stone; grandchildren, Sophia Wildes, Everette Wildes, and William Wildes; mother, Karen Stone; sister, Angela Seckinger (Greg); nieces and nephews, Shelby Clance (Garrett), Taylor Daniels, Jessie Daniels, and Josie Daniels; great-nieces and great-nephews, Rhett Clance, Cash Clance and Avonnie Bennett.

John was preceded in death by his father, John William Stone, and sister, Barbara “BB” Daniels.

A memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Truth Point Church in Lakeland, Georgia.
