Of Valdosta passed away Monday, November 20, 2007 in the Lakeland Villa Convalescent Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Miami, FL on July 22, 1940 to the late John Edward & Jewel Carter Douthit. Mr. Douthit was a pilot with National Airlines/Pan Am for 27 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include:Wife, Phyllis Douthit, Valdosta, GA, 3 Sons, Brad Douthit, Valdosta, GA, Todd Douthit, Valdosta, GA, Paul Douthit, Portland, Oregon, Daughter, Lynn Wilkerson, West Palm Beach, FL, 2 Granddaughters
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 24, 2007 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Rev. Michael Bass officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lanier Health Services Foundation LVCC, 888 West Thigpen Ave, Lakeland, GA 31635 or Operation Dignity, 1172 South Dixie Hwy # 460, Coral Gables, FL 33146-2918.
