John Eades

John Harold Eades, age 96, died, April 30, 2021 at Langdale Hospice House. He was born on March 19, 1925 in Bolton community of Atlanta, Georgia. The sixth of eight children of the late Nellie Irelan and James M. Eades.
He was educated in the Atlanta and Fulton County School Systems. He served the United States Marine from 1942 till 1945 during World War II in the South Pacific area of operations. He was a retired Nursing Home Administrator, serving homes in Glennville, Georgia, Elberton, Georgia and Valdosta, Georgia. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Valdosta, Georgia. He was an Elk, a Mason for 75 years, and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his loving wife, Beth Henderson Eades of Valdosta, Georgia; his six children: Carol Jennings of Casselberry, Florida, Rebecca Laufman and husband Fred of Glennville, Georgia, Tracy Hendrix and wife Traci Ann of Brooklet, Georgia, Cheryl Braswell and husband Randy of Sumner, Georgia, Mark Hendrix and wife Wanda of Toccoa, Georgia and LeAnne Bell and husband Tony of Valdosta, Georgia; also surviving are his 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Graveside rites will be held, 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 3, 2021 at Riverview Memorial Gardens, Valdosta, Georgia. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM, at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta, Georgia. Messages of sympathy can be left at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
