John Rufus Fender – 80
Of Ray City, GA passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on April 30, 1938 in Willacoochee, GA to the late Rufus Fender and Mary Lee (Harding) Fender. He retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation. He was a member of Ray City Holiness Church. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son.
Survivors include: Wife of 50 years, Judy Fender of Ray City, GA., Sister and Brother-in-law, Barbara Ann and John Peterson of Ray City, GA., Brother and Sister-in-law, Jimmy and Louise Fender of Ray City, GA., Brother and Sister-in-law, Kenneth and Debbie Fender of Ray City, GA
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Fender Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
