John Bowden Folsom, Jr. – 60

Of Valdosta passed away early Saturday morning, July 17, 2021 in the Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. John was born on November 26, 1960 in Keene New Hampshire to John Bowden Folsom, Sr. and Sandra Rose Folsom. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on cars. Before retiring, John worked as a mechanic for Firestone. He is preceded in death by his father.


Survivors include wife, Beatrice Knowles of Valdosta, GA; mother, Sandra Rose Amerson of Clyattville, GA; brothers, William Folsom and wife Yvette of Anniston, AL and Mitchell Folsom of Lake Park, GA; sister Mary Henkels and husband Joseph of Clyattville, GA; daughter, Amanda Folsom-Kimble of Dothan, AL; sons, Shane Tole of Stockbridge, GA, Adam West of Springfield, GA Allen West of Hahira, and Jeffery Folsom of Hahira, GA; daughter, Amy Knowles-Jones of Thomasville, GA; daughter, Brandi Browning of Madison, FL; son, Johnny Knowles of Madison, FL; special granddaughters: Taylor West, Kayla Shipp and Leara Jones; special nephew, Michael Henkels of Lake Park, GA along with a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


Per his wishes he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at 2:00PM in the Valdosta chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
