Of Lakeland, GA passed away early Tuesday night April 26, 2016 at his residence following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born November 5, 1954 in Tampa, FL to Helen West Griffith and the late Harold Griffith. John was employed with the County Extension office in the Agriculture industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed working with his bee hives, as well as being active in the PB & J Ministry.
He was a member of Lakeland Baptist Church and the Jim Threatte Sunday School Class.

As per Mr. Griffiths wishes he will be cremated and a memorial services will be held at 2:00P.M. Friday, April 29, 2016 in the Lakeland First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church As per the families wishes, in lieu of flowers please make donations to the First Baptist Church Children's Ministry
