John Preston Hazzard – 74
Of Lake Park, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL. He was born on October 26, 1940 in Cleveland, MS to the late William Warner Hazzard and Iris Louise Young Hazzard. He was a truck driver for Roadway for many years and was of the Baptist faith. He was an Eagle Scout Leader and was a member of the Woodworking Society. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Leroma Roberson Hazzard, brother, Billy Hazzard, sister, Betty Louise Ballard, Sisters-in-Law, Barbara Yates and Susie Roberson, and a Brother-in-Law, Sammy Roberson.
Survivors include his Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Amanda & Jack Myners of Grenada, MS, Julie Elizabeth & Charles Roberts of Valdosta, GA, Sherry Placzkowski of Lake Park, GA;
Sisters-in-Laws, Ann Jenkins, Faye Keith, Joyce Gentry, Anita Roberson; Grandchildren, James Preston Gaddy, Mary Amanda Gaddy, Sydney Vaughn Walsh, Devin Charles Roberts, Kyla GodfryAnthony, Brandy PlaczkowskiDavid, Sara Dawn PlaczkowskiTyler; Great Grandchildren, Alex Godfrey, Zoey Godfry, Elania Layton, Daniel Blackman; Furry Companion, Sadie Mae Hazzard; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
