John Earl Jackson

John Earl Jackson – 62 of Lakeland passed away Friday, December 07, 2018 at his residence after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on November 4, 1956 in Hahira, GA to the late John Henry Jackson and Genette (Stone) Jackson of Lakeland. He was a United States Army veteran. He also was a member of LoveJoy Community Church. John Earl worked as a carpenter basically all his life. He worked with various construction companies throughout the South but most recently with Skinner Construction. He loved fishing, playing the guitar and spending time with friends and family. Along with his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Jackson.
Survivors Include: Wife of 28 years, Kathy Jackson, Lakeland; 3 Daughters & Sons-in-law: Kelly & Chris Newsome, Lakeland, Amber Cummings, Lakeland, Tasha & Joseph Larson, Valdosta; 12 Grandchildren: Kaleigh Bradford, Madison Newsome, Maegan Newsome, Jaycee Newsome, Kori Manning, Abbi Rodger, Ayden Anderson, Liam Cummings, Joseph Larson, Joshua Larson, Eathan Larson & Holley Larson; Mother: Genette Jackson, Lakeland; 4 Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Shirley Sellers, Nahunta, GA, Geraldine Jackson (Curt Crosby), Jacksonville, FL, Helen & BJ Davis, Lakeland, Paula Bennett, Lakeland; Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Tommy & Selina Jackson, Adel, Jimpson Jackson (Martha Stone), Lakeland and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2018 in the LoveJoy Community Church with burial following in Fender Cemetery.
