John Paschall "Pat" Ledford – 73
Of Naylor, GA entered into the Gates of Heaven on Monday, February 8, 2016 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on June 29, 1942 in Valdosta, GA to Joseph Ray and Olga Wynell Carter Ledford. He was a retired railroad engineer. He was a loyal member of American Legion Post 336 and participated in the Christian Planters Group, Walk to Emmaus, and NRA. Mr. Pat was a dedicated volunteer for the Naylor Volunteer Fire Department. He was a lifetime member of Alapaha Hunting Club. He was a member of Naylor United Methodist Church of which he was very fond of. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a Great grandson, Cason Knox.
Survivors include his Wife of 45 years, Minnie Nell Ballance Ledford of Naylor, GA; Daughters, Laura & Jeff Fitch of Naylor, GA, Teresa & Todd Taylor of Naylor, GA; Son & Daughter-In-Law, Ricky & Lisa Colburn of Valdosta, GA; 9 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren; Special Friend, known together as Brothers, Buzz Griffin; and a Special Four Legged Companion, Beau.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Naylor United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Burnt Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Lakeland Music Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Options Now, 214 West Park Avenue in Valdosta, GA 31602. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
