John Arthur Spell, Sr.

Of Valdosta, passed away early Monday morning, May 3, 2010 in Adel, Georgia after a lengthy illness. He was born January 29, 1932 in Lakeland, Georgia to the late Arthur and Mary Alice Ford Spell. He was an iron worker at a Local 789 in Lovett, TX for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by a wife, Phillis Mary Spell and a brother, Jerry W. Spell.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Empire Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, May 4, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
