John Delano Sturgis – 82
Of Valdosta, GA passed away early Monday morning, May 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born on November 18, 1932 in Rock Hill, SC to the late Benjamin Franklin Sturgis and Bleeker Boldridge Franklin Sturgis. He retired from serving his country in the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He then worked for Norfolk Southern Railroad where he retired after 18 years of service. Mr. Sturgis loved working with his hands and enjoyed building houses. He was a member of the Bemiss United Methodist Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Andrew and Steven Sturgis and a sister, Bennie Long.

Son & Daughter-in-Law, Jeffery & Diana Sturgis of Spring Grove, PA;
Son & Daughter-in-Law, Glenn & Selina Sturgis of Valdosta, GA;
Daughter & Son-in-Law, Dana & Alan Mihalko of Tuscon, AZ;

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
