Johnny Marcus Dampier, 61, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on October 7, 1956 in Live Oak, FL to the late Herman and Tina (Elliott) Dampier. Better known as “Hillbilly” to all his friends-family at Camp 4 Hunting Club, he loved to hear a good race, especially when “Big Buck” came across the radio. While he really had a love for hunting & fishing, his greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren. He worked at B-Way in Homerville for over 28 years where he started as a mechanic and worked his way up to superintendent. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Janice Dampier.

Dampier, Aaron Dampier, Gabriel Peters, Noah Stephenson, Reagan Stephenson and Zeke Mora; Sister & Brother-in-law: Toleda and Steve Bargeron, Lakeland, GA; 4 Brothers & Sister-in-law: Steve Dampier, St. Marys, GA, Kivan Dampier, St. Marys, GA, Daniel and Colleen Dampier, Folkston, GA, Dylan Dampier, St. Marys, GA; Special Nephew: Dustin Dampier, St. Marys, GA; Special niece: Jennifer Legg, Kingsland, GA and a number of nieces and nephews
