Johnny Fred Dean – 78
Of Lakeland, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1944 in Cogdell, Georgia to the late James Smith Deen and Elizabeth (Griffis) Deen-Nobles. He enjoyed fishing, having fish fry’s, watching Wrestling and Gun Smoke, eating pecan pies, moon pies and his favorite, banana pudding. He loved his family and enjoyed having them around. He also loved his church and taking the widows to church: Shanna, Ms. Eloise and Ms. Mary Linda. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of forty-two years, Jo Ann Dean; sister, Mary Lou Singletary; brother, James Huey Deen.
Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Dean of Lakeland, Georgia; daughter, Kimberley Dean of Lakeland, Georgia; son, Andy Stewart of Lakeland, Georgia; son, Jimi Stewart (Jennifer) of Lakeland, Georgia; 5 grandchildren: ReOnnah Dean, Kenli Manoh, Stewart, Jodi Alvarez, Amber Mendoza, Chase Stewart; Nine great grandchildren; brother, Donald Deen of Homerville, Georgia; sister, Delores Mizell (H.F.) of Axson, Georgia; sister, Hazel White (Alan) of The Villages, Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 17, 2023 at Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Clinch County, Georgia with burial to follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Clinch County, Georgia.
