Of Valdosta passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 in the Memorial Hospital of Adel, Georgia. He was born on August 6, 1925 in Ware County, Georgia to the late Troy Eddie and Lillie Jordan Hesters. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Hesters.
Mr. Hesters is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 64 years: Maude Hesters of Valdosta, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law: James & Charlotte Hesters of Hahira, GA;Daughter & Son-in-law: Louise & Danny Godwin of Cleveland, GA; Grandchildren & Spouses: Deena & Allen Evans, James Channing Godwin, J.J. & Kelly Hesters, Jodi & Ben Brannen; Great Grandchildren:Robby Evans, Rachel Evans, Kayden Hesters, Hampton Hesters; Sisters: Hazel Wetherington of Valdosta, GA, Jessie Hurtt of Valdosta, GA; Sister-in-law: Charlotte Hamby of Hilton Head, SC, Ann Scozinski of Hotchkiss, CO; Extended Family Members: Debbie, Jerry, Evan, Dena, & Dana Rumker; and several other extended family members.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 12, 2012 in Riverview Memorial Gardens in Valdosta, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or you may make a donation to a charity of your choice. Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the family.
