Johnny Lloyd Porter, Sr. – 79
Of Lake Park, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at his home. He was born on September 16, 1944 in Lake Park, Georgia to the late Claude Alvin Porter and Wilda Inell Kinsey Porter. Johnny served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. He worked as a Glass Glazier for Tri-State Glass and American Glass. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering and being outdoors.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Katherine R. Morris Porter and his brother, Gene Porter.
Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Michele Porter Dees of Lake Park, Georgia; son, Johnny Lloyd Porter, Jr. (Kenzie) of Lake Park, Georgia; daughter, Kayla Miko Porter (Toby) of Lake Park, Georgia; grandchildren, Christopher J. Guay, Jr. (Samantha), Hunter M. Guay (Kayla), Kazz A. Guay (Thea), Kassi M. Dees (Coby), Raelynn L. Porter, Adelyn R. Porter, Hazel G. Porter, Kelsy Gandy, Kinsley Gandy and Emerson Gandy; great Grandchildren, Jace Guay, Granger Warren, Lillie Guay, Birdie Guay and Benny Guay; brother, Claude Alvin “Joe” Porter, Jr. (Carolyn) of Jacksonville, Florida; sister, Hazel I. Pazgan (Andrew) of Hermitage, Pennsylvania; brother, George P. Porter (Iva) of Lake Park, Georgia; brother, Harry H. Porter (Connie) of Lakeland, Florida; brother, Raymond Porter (Angie) of Lake Park, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 29, 2024 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Valdosta, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the funeral home.
