Johnnie "Buck" Spivey, Sr. – 73
Of Lake Park passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1938 in Echols County, GA to the late John James & Laura Mae Deloach Spivey. He was the owner and operator of Buck Spivey Construction. He served in the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Spivey loved spending time with family, hunting, fishing and driving his tractor. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Johnnie Spivey, III, and a sister, Hazel Oliver.
He is survived by his; Wife, Patricia Spivey, Howell, GA; Daughter, Dorothy Spivey, Howell, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law Buddy & Amanda Spivey, Howell, GA; 4 Granddaughters, Danielle Burkhalter Lance, Kyndall Spivey, Madison Spivey and Makenzye Spivey; 2 Great Grandchildren Macie Burkhalter and Gage Burkhalter; Sisters & Brothers-in-law, Barbara & J.D. Warren, Andersonville, GA, Vicki & Steve Morris, Valdosta, GA
; Brothers, Frank Spivey, Westminster, SC, Ronald Spivey, Monks Corner, SC, Roger Spivey, New Port, TN
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the home of Buddy and Amanda Spivey, 235 Spivey Lane, Howell GA. A private burial will be held at a later date in Wayfare Cemetery.
Music Funeral Services of Valdosta is serving the Spivey family.
