Johnny H. “Stormy” Grantham – 81 of Naylor, GA passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, GA after a lengthy illness. He was born on May 22, 1938 in Manor, GA to the late Loyd and Rosa (Nettles) Grantham. He served in the United States Air Force. Johnny was a machinist at Standard Container in Homerville, GA for many years and later became a self-employed truck driver. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Carolyn Grantham; and siblings: Patti Ann Grantham, Mary Grantham, William Grantham, and Roy Grantham.
Survivors include: Sons and Daughter-in-Laws, Jimmy and Julie Grantham of Valdosta, GA, Johnny Grantham, Jr. and Laura Harnage of Lakeland, FL, Matthew Corbitt of Manor, GA, Pete Corbitt of Naylor, GA; Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Carla and Fred Brewer of Waycross, GA, Candace and James Daniel of Valdosta, GA; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; Brothers and Sister-in-Law, Jimmy and Debbie Grantham of Nashville, TN, Robert Grantham of Nashville, TN, Raymon Grantham of San Dimas, CA; Sister, Rosa Marie McCormick of Nashville, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, February 3, 2020 at the Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, 78 Oak Grove Church Road, Lakeland, GA with burial following in the Fender Cemetery, Lakeland, GA. Mr. Grantham will be placed in the church one hour prior to services. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday evening, February 2, 2020 at the Valdosta funeral home.
