Johnny Fred Walker – 85 of Ray City, GA passed away on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at his home after a lengthy illness. Johnny was born on June 30, 1935 in Florida to the late Daisy Mae (Benton) and Fulton Walker. Johnny is a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. After retiring from the military, he became a self-employed carpenter for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, John Michael Walker; daughter, Joyce Ann Stanley; sister, Mary Wriggs; brother, Tommy Walker.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Betty Nash Walker of Ray City, GA; Children, Patricia Hamm (Mike) of Ray City, GA, Henry Hamm, Jr. of Ray City, GA, Chuck Walker and wife Bonnie of Cape Coral, FL, Starlene Solinski of Naples, Fl; Sister, Gloria Cross of Monticello, FL; Grandchildren: Amy Walker, Taylor Powell, Dalton Harden and Christopher Walker; Great Grandchildren: Cayden, Cason, Cooper, and Cam; Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Funeral Services for Mr. Walker will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 8, 2020 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery in Valdosta, GA.
