Jose Israel Perez, Jr., 50, of Pensacola, Fl passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 30, 2023. Jose was born on February 26, 1973 in Fort Hood, TX to Jose and Maria Reyes Perez. Jose was the truest definition of a warrior. He served his country in the United States Army and retiring as a captain after 20 years. He loved to hike, recently completing the 2000 plus mile hike on the Appalachian Trail in honor of his sister. He spent numerous hours and many years training, teaching and perfecting his skill of boxing. He would often joke, and tell others that he "was the first Mexican that has done many things," including living a vegan lifestyle. He was funny, smart, tall, dark, and humble. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He is preceded in death by his sister, Cristina Pack.
He is survived by his loving wife, Almalee Perez of Pensacola, FL; mother, Maria Reyes; father, Jose Israel Perez, Sr.; two sisters, Criscelda Mortimore and husband Jesse, Crisen Perez; nephews, Caleb and Clive Pack; and numerous extended family members.
