Josefina Bailon Aquino, 60 Of Valdosta, Georgia, passed peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at South Georgia Medical Center. Josefina was born on February 9, 1964, to Santiago C. Bailon and Aquilina Bailon (Grande) in Pangasinan, Philippines. Josefina went to Baguio University for early childhood education. She dedicated 23 years to running her beloved daycare, where she created a nurturing environment for countless children. Her deep love for the children was evident in the care and attention she gave them, always striving to help them grow and thrive. Outside of the daycare, Josefina found peace in gardening, where her passion for flowers flourished. Whether it was tending to her plants or playing with the kids, she was always full of warmth and joy, constantly seeking ways to nurture and support those around her. Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Diomedes Aquino of Valdosta, Georgia; son, Linbergh Aquino of Valdosta, Georgia; cousins, Dr. Benjamin Corpuz Bailon, Melva Bailon, and Jess Bailon (Ligaya) of Lakeland, Georgia; nieces, Krystal Bailon, Desiree Bailon, and Laila Bailon McCellan (Billy); great-niece and great-nephew, Emma Zipperer and Jacob Zipperer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A public Mass service will be held at Music Funeral Services in Lakeland on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 4:30 PM, followed by visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
