Joseph Keys Long, Jr. – 66 of Nashville passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 in South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Aurora, NC on May 29, 1951 to the late Joseph K. & Clara Gene (Cayton) Long, Sr. He worked in the Boating Industry for 47 years to include Hatteras Yachts. He loved spending time with family & friends grilling and sitting around the bonfire. He loved the outdoors especially fishing & hunting. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy J. Long.
Survivors Include: Wife, Tina Royals Long, Nashville; Daughter & Son-in-law: Christina & Steven Russell, South Carolina; Son: Joseph Keys Long III, Wilmington, NC; 2 Step Sons: Brandon Bradford (Amanda), Lakeland, Daniel Ethridge (Thresa), Hahira; Grandchildren: Sherry Long, Samantha Gene Long, Joseph Keys Long, IV, Luke Bradford, Makenna Bradford and Chloe Bradford; Mother-in-law: Wanda Royals, Lakeland; Father-in-law: Donald Royals, Nashville; Special Aunt: Nancy Ireland, Bayboro, NC; 3 Sisters: Nancy Domroe, Wilmington, NC, Cathy & Mike Gillespie, South Monte, NC, Linda Brownly, Florence, SC; Brother: Johnny & Barbara Long, Tennessee; 2 Brothers-in-law & Sister-in-law: Chris & Becky Royals, Lake Park, Steven Royals, Lakeland; 3 Special Friends: Jay Richie, Aaron Chadwick & Mike Nitschke and a number of nieces and nephews.
