Joseph “Grande” Thomas, of Adel, Georgia went to be with his lord and savior Jesus Christ on his 42nd birthday, January 7, 2022. Joe passed away from injuries sustained in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was originally from Birmingham, Alabama. He enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his motorcycle club family. Joe loved his family, especially his mother. He had a kind heart and loved helping others. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his parents, Linda Diane Thomas of Helena, Alabama and Lyndon Chester Thomas (Helon) of Madison, Mississippi. In addition to his parents, survivors include his brothers and sisters, Kim Melton (Brett) of Helena, Alabama, Tammy Brush (Chip) of Maylene, Alabama, Nisa Hagan (Johnny) of Smithville, Tennessee, Nita Pate (Steve) of Sorrento. Florida; Candy Character (Stephen) of Dutton, Alabama, Lyndon Chester Thomas, Jr. of Cusik, Washington and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 o’clock p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at The Church at Cahaba Bend, 3721 County Road 52, Helena, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Kind words and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at
