Joseph Max McCoy, Jr. 64 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Joseph was born on November 11, 1958 in Panama City, Florida to Roberta Mae and Joseph Max McCoy, Sr. Before the covid pandemic set in, He worked for the Lowndes Advocacy Resource Center as a sorter in the cardboard box division. Joseph was known to be a genuine “kid at heart”. He loved his family, was very sweet natured and was loved by all his friends. He enjoyed bowling, video gaming and most of all, the Georgia Bulldogs. “Go Dawgs!”
He is survived by his brothers, Steve and Glenn McCoy, and the folks at ResCare that he called friends.
A graveside service will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery located on 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida 32205. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service for visitation. Messages of sympathy can be left for the family at www.musicfuneralservices.com The McCoy family is being served by the compassionate and professional staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
