Of Thomasville, GA passed away early Wednesday morning February 18, 2004 following an automobile accident. He was born on July 6, 1981 in Lowndes County, GA and had lived in Thomasville most of his life. He spent a lot of time in Lakeland, GA where he had family and friends as well. He was a 1999 graduate of Thomas County Central High School where he was a member of FFA. He was currently attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College ABAC in Tifton. He loved the outdoors, was an avid bass fisherman, enjoyed hunting and 4-wheeling. He attended First Baptist Church in Thomasville.
Survivors include his Mother,
Elaine Sherrod, Thomasville, GA, Father, J. E. Browning, Lakeland, GA, Maternal Grandmother and husband, Vita and David Chesemore, Lakeland, GA, Maternal Grandfather and wife, Ira and Margie Fender, Dupont, GA, Step Grandmother, Velma Sherrod, Pavo, GA, Special Cousin, Sara Browning, Lakeland, GA
A number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding Josh in death were his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Browning, uncle and namesake, Charles Browning and stepfather, Odis Sherrod.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2004 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Pavo, GA.
