Joyce Moore Cone

Joyce (Moore) Cone – 87 of Hahira, Georgia passed away on Sunday May 24, 2020 in her home after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 2, 1932 in Nashville, TN to the late Jacob and Lillian Moore. Joyce chose to dedicate her life to her beloved family. She enjoyed walking and gardening as a hobby. Joyce was a devout and loving Christian woman who loved serving the lord and helping others as much as she could. She was a member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church. In her free time, she volunteered at the local food banks, advocated for The St. Jude Children’s Hospital and several animal rescue programs. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life for 65 years, Mr. Jimmie “Gene” Cone.
Surviving Joyce is her Sons: Robert Cone and wife, Kay, Michael Cone, Ronald Cone, Mark Cone and wife, Barbara, Barry Cone and wife, Leah, Brian Cone and wife, Evelyn; Daughter, Beverly Cone Ruis and husband, Donnie; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com . As the giving person she was, Joyce had one final wish that in lieu of flowers donations be made to one of her favorite rescue programs, Proverbs 12:10 Cat Rescue Inc., P.O. Box 322 Pinetta, FL 32350. The Cone family is being served by the staff at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
