Juanita P. Brown – 89
Of Valdosta passed away Monday morning, June 12, 2017 in the Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Leslie, GA to the late John & Willie (Young) Powell on October 23, 1927. She worked as a sales associate at Clinic Drug Store at an early age. She meet Sam and was soon married. They began their family and she enjoyed being a stay at home mom. Ms. Brown was protestant by faith and loved working in her flower beds. She was preceded in death by her son: Elmer E. Brown; sisters: Katherine Powell, Willa Ruth Powell, Evelyn Kinstly & Virginia Powell; brothers: Hosey Powell, John T. Powell, Jr., Franklin Powell & Billy Powell.
Survivors Includes: Husband of 67 years: Sam Brown, Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law: Gale & Stephen Lilly, Lake Park, GA; Son: Donald Brown, Valdosta, GA; Grandson: Stephen Lilly (Krista), Kentucky and Brothers: Tyrone Powell, Ellaville, GA, Charles Powell, Cobb, GA
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 15, 2017 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in New Ramah Cemetery, Ray City, GA.
