Judge Elwyn Mitchell Akins 81
Of Nashville passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Akins was born July 19, 1927 in Trenton, FL to the late Mitchell and Ollie Hilliard Akins. He obtained a law degree and was a member of the Florida Bar Association for over 50 years and was a member of the William T. Carlton Masonic Lodge #46 in Trenton Florida. Judge Akins was a member of Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Clinch County. Along with his parents, Mr. Akins was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Price

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Camp Creek Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Statenville Cemetery in Statenville with full Masonic Rites. Mr. Akins will be at the church one hour prior to service. The family will receive friends this evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. tonight Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the funeral home.
