Judith Ann Earnest – 82
Of Valdosta passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022 in the South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on April 13, 1939 in Asheville, North Carolina to the late Edith Josephine Johnson and Earl D. Sellers. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading and gardening. Judith enjoyed sitting on the porch swing with her dog Oliver watching birds. She loved gospel music and had a strong faith. She enjoyed tending to her flowers and had a tender heart for animals. She was very proud of her daughters and grandchildren and all they had accomplished. If she wasn’t frowning, she was making jokes and cutting up; showing her beautiful smile. She was loved by many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Ronnie Sellers and Gregory Blaylock and significant other Clarence “JR” Thompson.
Survivors include: daughters, Sandra Ely of Platte City, Missouri, Janice Cooper and Stephen Kennedy of Valdosta; sister, Margaret Maltry of Fletcher, North Carolina; brothers Earl “David” Sellers and wife Toshi of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Johnny Sellers and wife Barbara of Arden, North Carolina; grandson Dustin Lane and significant other Katie Haskamp of Newark, California ; granddaughter Paige Ely of Platte City, Missouri; grandson Johnny Emory of Valdosta; granddaughters Riley Kennedy and Lola Kennedy of Valdosta; grandson Landen Kennedy of Valdosta; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o’clock p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2022 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. Cremation will follow at a later date.
