Julia Belle Bennett

Julia Belle Touchton Bennett – 72 of Stockton, GA went to be with the Lord on Friday July 17, 2020 in the presence of her family at home. She was born on September 4, 1947 in Howell, GA to the late Vashti Fouraker and Lloyd Touchton, Sr. Julia was a high school graduate and dedicated her life to the wellbeing of her home, husband, and children. In her later life, Julia got to cherish the title of Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and being an active member of her longtime church, Stockton Baptist Church. She was also an avid prayer warrior and prayed often for the members of her community. For 20 years, Julia spent the last four months of the year preparing a very well known, and very large Christmas display that she was very proud of. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Levin Touchton.
Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Carroll Bennett of Stockton, GA; Children: William C. Bennett, Jr. of Stockton, GA, Tamara B. Fender and husband Calvin of Stockton, GA, Stephanie B. McGuire and husband Riley of Stockton, GA; Grandchildren: Paige Bennett, Will Bennett and wife Ashley, Thomas McGuire and wife Morgan, Adria M. Cox and husband Zach, Autumn Fender, Jacob Fender; 5 great grandchildren; Sister, Vashti T. Jones and husband Bryan of Wichita, KS; Brothers: Elijah Touchton and wife GeorgeAnn of Pittsburg, KS, L.W. Touchton and Patrilla of Ft. Gaines, GA; A beloved pooch, Bear Touchton Bennett of Stockton, GA; Numerous nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held on Monday July 20, 2020 in the Stockton Baptist Church. A public graveside service will be held at 12:00 Noon in the Love Joy Cemetery in Lakeland, GA. The family will see friends from 6-8 PM on Sunday July 19, 2020 at the Lakeland Funeral Home.
