Julia Simpson

Of Lakeland, Georgia passed away peacefully in Azle, Texas on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008. Julia was born Sept. 6, 1913 in Lanier County, GA daughter of the late William Hustis and Eunice Bridges Studstill. She lived in Lanier County most of her life. She was a member of the Lakeland United Methodist Church and held many positions of leadership including president of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of the Macon District and District chairman of Spiritual Growth. In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Yongue Simpson; and great-granddaughter, Samantha Garner.
Survivors: Her daughters, Jackie Huntley of Azle, Texas, and Sue Adams of Duluth, Georgia; son, Henry Yongue Simpson, Jr.; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Harris of Valdosta, Georgia; nieces; and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday December 27, 2008 in the Lakeland United Methodist Church with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lakeland, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday December 26, 2008 at the funeral home.
