Junior "JR" Brogdon – 68
Of Valdosta passed away Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Heritage House Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was born on September 12 , 1942 in Berrien County to the late Lucious and Myrtice Browning Brogdon. Mr Brogdon worked with the Valdosta Fire Department for 14 years, was a longtime farmer and a over the road Truck driver. He was Baptist by faith.

The family will be holding a memorial service at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday morning, July 19, 2011 at Perimeter Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday night, July 18, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. As per his wishes he will be cremated and a private burial will be held in Guthrie Cemetery.
